It is renowned for the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan, who is worshipped as the deity of wisdom, courage, and power. Visitors can use the rope car or winch to ascend the hill for a scenic and comfortable journey to the temple. Do remember to buy the traditional sweet called "Palani Panchamirtham" made of five ingredients (banana, jaggery, honey, ghee, and cardamom) is unique to Palani and is considered highly auspicious.

    1. Palani Murugan Temple
    Perched on Palani Hills, this temple is one of the Six Abodes of Lord Murugan (Arupadai Veedu). The deity, made of a unique mixture of nine medicinal herbs (Navapashanam), is believed to have miraculous healing powers. Devotees often climb the 700+ steps to reach the temple as a mark of devotion. There are also rope cars and winches available for ease of access.

    2. Thiru Aavinnankudi Murugan Temple
    Located at the foothills, this temple is also dedicated to Lord Murugan and considered part of the sacred pilgrimage.

    3. Pathala Sembu Murugan Temple
    A historic palace complex showcasing Chola, Nayak, and Maratha influences. Houses a museum, Saraswathi Mahal Library, and an art gallery featuring ancient sculptures and paintings.
